I haven't had the opportunity to photograph many newborns - lots and lots and lots of preschoolers but not a lot of newborns yet   But, no matter how many newborn sessions I have in my career, this baby will always be special.  She is my youngest niece - the daughter of my brother and my wonderful sister-in-law.  She is the baby sister of two adoring older sisters and the youngest of seven granddaughters on my side of the family.  Seven granddaughters!  As my dad says proudly, "That's one for each day of the week!"  She is a joy and a treasure and if she stays as mellow as she was last week, then I think the Dali Lama may have a run for his money in a few years.   Here are a few pictures taken over a  couple of days.
