Guess What I Did This Week (Pensacola Children's Photographer, Daphne Whitley Photography)
Can you guess what I did this week?

Yes, I took cap & gown photos at Gracie's preschool. I can't believe it's graduation time and in just a few short months, she'll be off to kindergarten. I thought I might get teary-eyed, but I did fairly well, until I looked over and saw Gracie and five of her girlsfriends holding hands and playing Ring Around the Rosie. My eyes filled, just thinking about how young and innocent she really still is and how different next year is going to be - I hope she'll be in class with lots of her friends, but the odds are slim to none that all sixteen of her preschool friends will end up in the same kindergarten class
Anyway, I know these don't look like the traditional cap and gown shots since they're taken outside and not in front of a shelf of books, but I am not really a backdrop kind of photographer...meaning I really don't like dealing with studio lights
!
I took cap and gown shots of each of the children and then took some regular portraits of each of them. When we did fall pictures at the preschool, I didn't take any of either Gracie or Abigail - I just skipped over them (yes, that's what happens when your Mommy is the photographer!), but since these were cap and gown shots, I couldn't leave Gracie out. I'm glad that I didn't leave her out, because these next two pictures are two of my favorites ever of her.

I'm going to do a standout (like a gallery wrap) of this next one - not because of any technical merit (because it has very little) but because it is soooooooo her - my goofy, silly, sweet, amazing little soon-not-to-be-anymore preschooler
